Major sponsor of the 2006 HypoActive team in the Murray to Moyne |
In 2006 Diabetes Australia - Victoria will be the official charity for the Great Victorian Bike Ride, running from the 25th November to the 3rd of December. This year's route starts off in Wangaratta, heading through the bush ranging territories of Tallangatta, Myrtleford, Tawonga Gap, Whitfield, Mansfield and Yea before finishing in the Yarra Valley. This is a terrific opportunity to explore Victoria by the best means possible: bicycle. HypoActive is encouraging all diabetics to join us on this year's ride, so stay tuned for training ride information and diabetic-themed cycle gear to wear to inspire everyone. After all, diabetics can do anything, but we know that anyway!

DAV are presenting a series of information evenings for type 1 diabetics.
The first evening will discuss managing type 1 diabetes as part of high-level sport and training. A number of hypoactive people will be in attendance, some of whom will also be sharing their tales of managing diabetes during competitive sport at the high level.
When: Feb 22
Where: St Michaels Centre, behind St Michaels Church (cnr Russell and
